I wouldn't even consider using a pc or Mac to generate sound. Rebirth was the only self contained software package that could give you synths and drums at the same time. There wasn't vst support until version three or later and that's when the game started to change and Fl could compete with Reason. All of these synths and samplers and mixers and lion and tigers and bears oh my.there wasn't none of that. I remember when Fl studio came out and it was an unimpressive, pissant little drum machine, that you could load samples into. The sound engine in BM2 and the effects need improvement but I will say this. Look, right now if you want pro calibre sound you gotta stem out and it's a kik in the teeth doing it.
